Graduation!

So after three years graduation finally came around! Although I was ill and found it hard to keep my eyes open, I had a great day. The event was held at Trentham Gardens and the weather was lovely. Thanks to all my family and friends for the support and comments. Good luck and well done to Class of 2009!

NEW BLOOD IS OVER!..

D&AD New Blood went very well for Staffordshire University, with 3 talent awards and a victory over Falmouth MA Creative Advertising! Shellsuit Zombie set a brief that we won!
Days 2 and 3 were very busy with a lot of interesting people visiting our stand. I met some great students, tutors and industry people, picking up contacts that I will be in touch with very soon!

D&AD New Blood Opening Night

Madness was all around us as all the stands were been set up, but as the show kicked off it all calm down. The first night went well with many visitors making great comments about our stand (come and see us on 4 & 5) and the work. A lot of interest about the course (BA Advertising and Brand Management). The course takes a 360 degree approach to advertising and branding, with focus on strategy, different to other courses. Also two graduates from our course received an talent award so well done to them!

D&AD New Blood The Creative Talent Show. Monday 29th June - Wednesday 1st July. Olympia National Hall.


I will be there on stands 4 and 5, Staffordshire University, BA(Hons) Advertising and Brand Management. We will be showing a range of our work from digital media to packaging. If you attend, don't forget to come and have a chat.

Tiga's chief, Dr Richard Wilson, said changes were needed to make the logos "instinctively recognisable". (bbc news)


Well obviously, I mean look at the one I have circled. How would you know it was for discrimination? I would have just thought it means a three player game or two adults and a child. I play some games and I would never have thought it meant discrimination, so how about parents out there buying a game for their child, perhaps they would thinks it means family friendly. Also why would there be games out there that feature discrimination?
